          Biomass Renewable Energy

Historical Notes::
50 years ago in Piemonte (Italy), a strange kind of fuel called "Nocciolo di ciliegio" (cherry pit) has been used for heating; it was very similar to today's pellet.
The pits was loaded into big tanks, which have a rotating coclea on their bottom, to drive the pits into the combustion chamber. The heating power of the pits is very high because they have a part of alcohol inside. Today we dump pits, and their disposal is very expensive.
